Historic Bromley Court Hotel revamped after £2m investment
The 117-bedroom Bromley Court Hotel in Kent has revamped the majority of its interior, including the 180-cover Garden Restaurant, lounge, reception, and meeting rooms capable of hosting up to 190 guests. The hotel’s signage has also been refreshed.
All meeting rooms have been renamed after famous historic guests, including the William Pitt Room and the Macmillan Room, named after former prime ministers; and rooms named after David Bowie and Jimi Hendrix, as well as the Leona Room after Leona Frankel, former manager and a late aunt of the site’s current chairman.
The site focused on Kent-based designers for its new project, which also prompted the creation of a new website.
The hotel was first built as a country estate for Baron Farnborough in the 1800s, whose regular visitors at the time included King George IV. Nowadays, bedrooms start at £80 per night.
Max Ball, managing director, said: “It has been very exciting for all the team to see the hotel transform and we are delighted to share it with our guests. We have used local Kent-based designers who have been true to the hotel’s heritage while at the same time successfully modernising its interior.”
