Austrian restaurant chain L’Osteria plans UK roll-out
Austrian pizza restaurant L’Osteria is to make its UK debut at Bristol’s newest dining hub later this year.

L’Osteria is already well-established in mainland Europe, having grown from its first restaurant in 1999 to operate 60 sites across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Now the group is planning a roll-out across the UK, beginning with Bristol’s Cabot Circus dining quarter.

The casual dining chain, which serves a mix of pizza, pasta and salads, has secured a 624 m2 site at the development.

It comes after the group opened its first pasta factory in Nuremberg, Germany, last year.

Pru Naik, managing director at L’Osteria, said: “I’m excited to be opening the UK’s first L’Osteria and to be bringing this hugely popular restaurant brand to Bristol to begin our national roll out.

“We chose Bristol to be the home of the very first UK L’Osteria as it has such a vibrant social scene and because the city is used to embracing new dining concepts.  The L’Osteria team really can’t wait to get set up and open the doors in Bristol!”

Other openings at the development include the Bristol debut of Handmade Burger Co, Raymond Blanc’s Brasserie Blanc, Itsu, Casa Brasil, Cote, Carluccio’s and Pizza Express.

The restaurants are expected to launch in late 2016.
