Barrafina Frith Street to relocate to Quo Vadis in London’s Soho

Barrafina Frith Street, the original Michelin-starred tapas bar in Soho, is to move to members’ club and restaurant Quo Vadis on Dean Street after the site's landlord decided to redevelop it.

Following the termination of its lease, the restaurant, owned by Sam and Eddie Hart with executive head chef Nieves Barragan Mohacho, will move this autumn to the ground floor dining room at Quo Vadis, which celebrates its 90th birthday this year.

Closed in August and for the first half of September to allow for renovations, the Dean Street site will be split into two restaurants on the ground floor. Barrafina will take up the current Quo Vadis restaurant area, while the current bar area will be transformed into Quo Vadis' public restaurant. There will also be a Quo Vadis restaurant on the first floor, for the sole use of QV club members.

First opened at Frith Street in 2007, the Barrafina group now operates three sites across London, comprising Adelaide Street and Drury Lane. Each venue has an open kitchen and serves Spanish-inspired regional tapas dishes, with a daily changing specials menu, alongside Spanish sherry, Cavas, and wine.

Quo Vadis first opened in 1926 and was taken over by the Hart brothers in 2008. Chef patron Lee, previously of the Blueprint Cafe, came on board in 2012 and now creates a daily-changing menu using fresh and seasonal produce.
