Tom Adams and April Bloomfield's Cornish farm venture to open in July

Coombeshead Farm in Cornwall, a working farm and dining room created by Pitt Cue's Tom Adams and April Bloomfield of New York's The Spotted Pig, is set to open for business next month. 

The venture, set on 66 acres of land near Launceston, will feature a six-bedroom farmhouse with a dining room, whisky room, library and a communal living room. 

Guests will be sold rooms inclusive of breakfast and dinner (from £160 per person) which will be served in the 12-cover dining room at a communal table.

The menus will be 'ever-changing and evolving' with produce sourced from the farm and local producers. Dishes will include small and large sharing dishes such as Whole pit baked Mangalitza ham and creamed kraut; Rabbit, cobnut and nettle sausage, House curds, peas, mint and sorrel, and desserts such as Blackcurrant leaf junket. Non-resident locals will also be given the option to dine for £50. 

Adams and Bloomfield, who met five years ago, confirmed they had acquired farmland together in April.

The pair have a shared desire to create a business based as close to the source of the food as possible. Adams will be based at the farm and will predominantly run the operation, returning to London on a weekly basis to work at Pitt Cue while Bloomfield will frequently visit from the US. 

Coombeshead Farm will open on 6 July.
