The new site at 54 Blackstock Road in Finsbury Park, expected to open on 13 June, will serve a pizza named “The Mullered Mushroom”, with Portobello and oyster mushrooms braised in Five Points London Smoke porter, onion chutney made with Five Points Pale Ale, plus ricotta and mozzarella cheese, and a sprinkling of malt grain. Both beers come from the Five Points Brewery, in Hackney.
The menu will also offer a porter and chocolate ripple gelato for dessert.
The new location was formerly a Caribbean restaurant, and is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment (pictured, right).
This is not the first time the group has incorporated beer-related products into its dishes: this week it added hop shoots to its Gorgonzola and Chilli pizza (main picture), dubbing them “one for the ale enthusiasts”, that taste like “a cross between asparagus and nettles”.
Not all options will include beer, though: there will also be the classic Holy Pepperoni with n’duja sausage and London-sourced pepperoni, and the pun-tastic Cheesus Walks, which comes with smoked cheese.
The group will also offer a take-out and delivery service to selected postcodes from the new site later in the month, in the same way as the original Clapton venue, which delivers to London's E5, E8, E9 and N16.
