The street food-inspired venue launched in Leeds in 2013, and is set to open its second restaurant in Exmouth Market this May.
Cielo Blanco - meaning ‘White Sky’ in Spanish – focuses on the social side of Mexican dining with a mix of sharing boards and ‘feast’ menus.
The London restaurant will feature a giant tree sprouting from a large communal table, while skylights will flood the venue with natural light.
Founder Ged Feltham said: “We’re delighted to be bringing our Cielo Blanco concept to London’s busy Exmouth Market.
"The restaurant will capture the sociable, fun feel of Mexican eating with a menu that caters to all audiences – whether it be a quick bite for lunchtime business diners or an all-evening feast for large parties and everyone in between.”
A separate basement bar will serve a selection of 'rare and interesting' mezcals and tequilas in an 'agave paradise'.
Feltham said: “Naturally, our drinks offering will be just as important as the food. So it’s great that we will have a basement bar for people to come and relax and join us in our obsession and absolute love of the finest agave spirits.”
Cielo Blanco is part of the Leelex restaurant group, which operates venues in London and Leeds including Portobello Star, Pintura Kitchen & Bar, Oporto, Jake’s Bar and Neon Cactus.
