The Ivy restaurant opening new outpost in Bath
Plans have been submitted on behalf of Troia UK Restaurants Ltd - the property development arm of The Ivy Restaurant and Grill – to turn the Grade II listed Natwest bank building on Milsom Street in to a four-storey eatery.
The Ivy Bath Brasserie will feature a 120-cover bar and restaurant, 60-cover roof terrace with covered pergolas and 64-cover private dining room.
An indoor greenhouse with a herb garden and assorted plants and trees will sit within the restaurant, separated from diners by a glazed wall.
The plans will create 70 jobs if they are approved by Bath and North West Somerset Council.
Companies House lists Richard Caring as director of Troia, and the business shares the same London address as his Caprice Holdings restaurant group.
Bath is the latest Ivy venue in the company's pipeline, following openings in Kensington, Marylebone and Covent Garden.
Further Ivy restaurants are launching in Bristol and Wimbledon this spring and the group is understood to be in talks for a site in Guildford.
Speaking to BigHospitality’s sister site MCA in December, Caring said he is planning to roll out the Ivy concepts across the country, with up to 10 sites under consideration.
