Bea's of Bloomsbury plans new site and re-brand

London-based cafe group Bea's of Bloomsbury has announced plans to re-brand the business as it opens its fourth site.

The latest site on Devonshire Street in Marylebone will open at the beginning of May under new name 'Bea's Cake Boutique'. It will serve the group's signature cupcakes, Duffins and afternoon teas, but will feature new branding and design.

Managing director Mona Golgol, said the new branding would be applied to its current stores in Bloomsbury, Farringdon and St Paul's over the next year with the plan to give them a new look 'whilst still retaining Bea's charm and eccentricity'.

“In the eight years since Bea’s opened its first café in Bloomsbury we have seen the business develop and evolve into the successful boutique café business it is today," she said. "We are now incredibly excited to see Bea’s move forward with the new name and look, whilst maintaining our current reputation as a welcoming and friendly environment, serving some of London’s best cakes and afternoon teas."

As well as Devonshire Street, there are plans to open a further two sites under the Bea's Cake Boutique brand in the next 18 months.

Bea's of Bloomsbury was founded by Bea Vo in 2008. Vo retains some share in the business but is no longer involved in the day-to-day running or creative direction of the brand.
