Mitchells & Butlers to offer the ‘best apprenticeship scheme in hospitality’
The group – which owns Harvester, All Bar One and Browns – said the scheme would offer young people a ‘credible career pathway’ and create a pipeline of future talent for the business.
Programmes on offer include year-long Chef and Waiting Staff Apprenticeships for 16 to 24 year olds and a three-year Hospitality Management Development course training staff for supervisory roles.
The announcement comes ahead of National Apprenticeship Week, which runs from 14 to 18 March.
Susan Martindale, group HR director for Mitchells & Butlers, said: “We don’t just want to develop a successful apprenticeship scheme; we want Mitchells & Butlers to offer the best scheme in the hospitality industry.
“Our schemes provide new job opportunities for school leavers and combine their employment with layers of exceptional tutorage, mentoring and assessment.
"They are the future talent for M&B and we look forward to the apprentices progressing their career journey with us.”
Vacancies for Chef and Bar & Waiting Apprenticeships will be continuously available from 1st April 2016.
There are around 100 Hospitality Management Development Apprenticeships available which will be open for applicants online from 14 March to 11 April.
Mitchells & Butlers featured in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list in 2014 after delivering over 10,000 apprenticeships in six years.
