The 120-cover site will open in the heart of the City and feature a deli, private dining room and terrace.
Obicà executive chef Erind Halilaj has created a menu of traditional Italian regional cuisine featuring gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.
Mozzarella di bufala campana DOP – made from the milk of a water buffalo – will be imported twice a week and served at the mozzarella bar with either Italian black truffle or olive oil.
Raimondo Boggi, CEO of Obica group, said: “We are very excited to bring to the City a cool designed restaurant with the freshest and finest Italian delicacies, plated in a contemporary style. We want to be recognized for the best mozzarella di bufala and the best pizza in Central London, nothing less”.
Dishes will include homemade pasta, pizza and fish and meat entrees such as Sea Bass with Solfino White Beans, Seasonal Vegetables, & Roasted Datterini Tomatoes.
Obicà opened its first site in Rome in 2004 and now boasts 19 restaurants across Italy, the UK, USA, Japan and Dubai.
It currently runs four London restaurants in South Kensington, Charlotte Street, Poland Street and Canary Wharf.
