Who’s Cooking Dinner: Charity event returns for 2016
Taking place at Four Seasons Hotel at Park Lane for a 17th year, the event will see chefs including Angela Hartnett, Nuno Mendes and Brett Graham come together to cook for 200 diners.
Chris Corbin, chairman of Leauka and Who’s Cooking Dinner, said that he’s happy that the event is back for another year.
“We are delighted to be hosting Who’s Cooking Dinner? once again thisspring. It’s rare to get so many talented chefs in one room together for a cause that touches so many people’s lives. The amount of funds we raise for Leuka’s vital research gets better with each year,” he said.
The evening begins with a pre-dinner reception where guests will learn which chef is cooking for their table. Each chef will cook a unique menu. Following the meal, diners will get the chance to bid for chefs they would like to cook in their own home. Beatles artist Peter Blake has created a special artwork to be auctioned off at the event.
Murano chef Hartnett said that this is the event that every chef looks forward to.
"You get to do some great things as a chef, but this is something we all look forward to on the culinary calendar,” she said.
“Who’s Cooking Dinner is not just about an incredible dining experience, it’s also a celebration of what we can achieve when we all team together plus I get to see what everyone else is cooking."
Mendes said: “It is a rare and wonderful thing to get so many great chefs together in one place for charity. We are all humbled by the huge amount of money this event raises.”
Duck & Waffle’s executive chef, Dan Doherty, is making his debut at the event this year.
“This will be my first year to join the Who’s Cooking Dinner? team and I jumped at the chance to get involved. The heat will no doubt be high in those kitchens, but it will be worth it for such a worthy cause,” he said.
