Michelin-starred Brasserie Chavot to close
The chef said the decision came ahead of ‘exciting’ plans to expand the brand and open a series of new restaurants.
Chavot said in a statement: “After almost three fantastic years at Brasserie Chavot in Mayfair, we have taken the decision to re-locate the restaurant and to expand the brand.
“It is an exciting time for my brigade and I. We will announce the first of our new sites shortly.”
Chavot became head chef at London’s Capital Hotel in 1999 and won the restaurant two Michelin Stars, maintaining them until his departure in 2009.
He then worked at the private Windsor Club in Florida until returning to London to launch Brasserie Chavot in 2013. The restaurant won a Michelin Star just seven months after opening.
The chef told BigHospitality in 2012 that he was eventually hoping to ‘tweak’ the Brassier Chavot concept ‘into something slightly different’.
