Giving us their expert opinions is Scholarship-winner, Daniele Quattromini of ClubLounge 39, along with runners up Ronald Rosario of The Capital Hotel, Matthew Balman of Buckingham Palace and James O’Keeffe of Lainston House Hotel.
Quattromini’s top tip is to use all of your senses when you are working in a front-of-house role.
“I could be speaking to my customer, I can see what’s going on in the background, I can hear what’s going on behind me, and even touch when a waiter is trying to get your attention,” he said.
“Communication in our industry is key; that can be from the reception and concierge team, from the kitchen, management, through to the actual staff, and how we translate that to the customer.”
