Marco's New York Italian restaurant to open at Mercure London Bridge

Marco Pierre White's 11th Marco's New York Italian restaurant will open its doors within the Mercure London Bridge hotel next month.

The restaurant, one of Black & White Hospitality's four restaurant brands fronted by White, will open following a £200k refurbishment of the hotel's restaurant space.

White said: "Our new London Bridge restaurant will be among the first to serve our new menu, which is absolutely brimming with delightful choices that will offer something for every palate and wallet, all served in relaxed yet elegant surroundings.

"The essence of my New York Italian concept is the belief that high quality food should be an experience that is shared and enjoyed with friends and family, whatever the occasion."

Marco's New York Italian at London Bridge will be the fourth of its kind to open within one of Accor's Mercure hotels. Restaurants under the brand are already open at Mercure hotels in Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon and Leicester.

Jonathan Sheard, SVP operations luxury, upscale and midscale Accorhotels UK and Ireland, said: "Our guests at Mercure demand a certain level of warm, understated elegance, coupled with the certainty that comes from an internationally recognised brand; that's why Marco's New York Italian is a perfect fit.

"We are enormously excited about attracting such an established, authentic restaurant to the hotel and we are certain it's a partnership that will significantly strengthen the visitor experience for restaurant customers and hotel guests alike."

Black & White Hospitality's other restaurant brands are Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, Mr White's English Chophouse and Wheeler's of St James.
