Hotel 41 tops Trivago’s hotel rankings

Hotel search website Trivago has announced its top hotels in the UK with London’s Hotel  41 winning is inaugural Top Hotel Award.

The Chester Residence in Edinburgh, Blackpool’s The Arthington, The Clontarf Hotel in Llandudno and London’s The Soho Hotel, rounded off the top five.

The rankings are based on an aggregation of user reviews of hotels from 30 different websites worldwide, with hotels with over 400 reviews and sufficient availability taken into consideration.

Malcolm Hendry, Hotel 41’s general manager, said that he and his staff are delighted to be top of the list and that ‘highly personalised’ service plays a part in the hotel’s success.

“Everyone at Hotel 41 is delighted and honoured at being named the Number One Hotel in the UK in Trivago’s 2015 Top Hotel Awards,” he said.

“We are thrilled to have been recognised by Trivago’s community of travellers in this hotly contended category and would like to thank them for publishing such positive reviews.

“Myself and the dedicated team of staff at Hotel 41 are committed to ensuring that each and every guest leaves our hotel having had a memorable and truly special stay. I think it’s this commitment to deliver a highly personalised service and the desire to exceed expectations every single time that has helped to secure this prestigious accolade, of which we are all very proud.”

Denise Bartlett, UK public relations, Trivago, said: “With its excellent customer service and exquisite attention to detail, it is easy to see why luxury London hotel, Hotel 41, is our top-rated hotel this year. It is interesting to note, however, the high number of B&Bs in the top 50 hotels in the UK. With B&Bs averaging £60 per night rated as highly as hotels averaging up to £500 per night, it seems users are satisfied by the family-run environment and friendly service offered by B&Bs.”
