Gisborough Hall undergoes £400k renovation project
The 19th century four-star Yorkshire hotel has also had its ballroom, drawing room and inner hall refurbished as part of the project.
The program, which sees the hotel’s rooms refurbished to remain in-keeping with the age of the house, will see continued work take place over the coming months. The property underwent a £10m refurbishment in 2002.
Kim Yardley, general manager of Gisborough Hall, said: “Gisborough Hall has such a strong reputation and heritage in the Teesside and North Yorkshire areas and it’s vital that we invest in the property to continually surprise our exceptionally loyal clientele and entice new people to the beautiful area.
“The new bedrooms and public areas have been extremely well received and the coming year will also see more exciting plans unveiled for the hall.”
The hotel has also announced the return of Jason Moore as head chef, having previously worked at the business.
Yardley said: “Jason’s return as our head chef has been a fantastic boost as he is so highly regarded. We’re very fortunate to have a committed, local team of over 100 staff and retention is exceptionally high, compared to other hospitality businesses. We’re now looking forward to some interesting development in 2016.”
