TripAdvisor unveil analytics dashboard
The introduction of the Review Performance Report will also allow restaurants and attractions to have access to analytics previously only available to hotels and other accommodation providers.
Gwanael Merlin, director of partnerships at TripAdvisor, told BigHospitality why the dashboard was needed.
“People on TripAdvisor leave 160 reviews every minute and reviews on this level are hard to analyse and manage, and I think that people want to have a summary and analysis of it. This will allow them to get a quick sense of how they have done over the last six months and how they do compared to their competitors,” he said.
Minesh Shah, senior director of global hotel partnerships at TripAdvisor, said that the tool, available as a free upgrade, is valuable as it aggregates review trends in an easy-to-view dashboard.
“The Review Performance report has been designed to make it is easier for businesses to engage with their TripAdvisor listing and their guest feedback,” he said.
“What makes this new dashboard so valuable for registered business owners is that it automatically aggregates performance trends and presents them in an easy-to-digest display, placing valuable learnings at their fingertips to help them drive engagement and optimise their presence on TripAdvisor.”
