Rhubarb wins £60m Goodwood catering contract

The contract, which starts on 16 March next year will see Rhubarb, which already runs catering at the Royal Ascot racecourse, take over from the Compass Group to cater at Goodwood's key festivals.

The events, which include Members Meeting, the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival, attract more than 800,000 visitors a year.

Rhubarb, run by managing director PB Jacobse, said it planned to make the use of produce from the estate's farm, where possible for its 'creative and innovative offering' at Goodwood.

This win is a real credit to Rhubarb and testament to the work we do every day across our portfolio. We look forward to working with the Goodwood team and to bringing a touch of Rhubarb magic to this historical estate," said Jacobse. 

Goodwood's Lord March said the estate had chosen Rhubarb, which operates at a number of visitor attractions and locations in London including The Royal Albert Hall, Sky Garden at 20 Fenchurch Street and at Heathrow and London City airports for its 'passion and attention to detail'. 

"I am excited by the fresh ideas they can bring to our key events and the support they will provide in moving the overall experience forward," he said.
