The overarching branding includes the multi-award-winning four-Red Star Doxford Hall Hotel and Edinburgh’s Dalhousie Castle.
The collection of country house hotels was started in 2008 with the purchase of Guyzance Hall in Northumberland. This purchase was followed by two further Northumberland hotels in 2010 (Doxford Hall and Eshott Hall), Dalhousie Castel in 2012, and Ednam House in Kelso in 2014. The Wordsworth Hotel in the Lake District joined the group in 2015.
Co-owner Robert Parker said that the branding will showcase and market the quality of the hotels under the same umbrella.
“Each individual property is totally unique, and each retains its own individuality, however, from a customer point of view, The Robert Parker Collection brand is to become synonymous with the highest levels of customer service, food and accommodation,” he said.
Parker believes that the collection fits in well in the areas it operates in but that there is still room to expand the portfolio and improve each of the properties.
“As a luxury collection The Robert Parker Collection really fills a gap in the hotel market place within the geographical areas in which we currently operate,” he said.
“Looking forward, our aim is to expand the portfolio, whilst further developing the brand values at each of the properties. This is integral to our ongoing success and each of the hotels is expected to retain its own distinctive take, in developing their quality dining experiences, offering a great night’s sleep or providing great places to do business.”
The hotels in the collection have a combined number of 170-bedrooms, 23 AA Stars for accommodation, five restaurants, eight AA Rosettes for dining, three swimming pools and 11 spa treatment rooms.
