The Intercontinental London – The O2 has unveiled five destination restaurants and bars opening at the luxury hotel when it launches at Greenwich Peninsula this winter.

Each venue in the 18-storey, 453-room hotel will offer panoramic views of the Thames and focus on the areas local history.

The Market Brasserie will offer an ‘interactive’ dining experience inspired by London’s markets, with displays of fresh breads, pastries, cured meats and smoked salmon. Guests will be able to watch their choice cut of meat or fish being cooked to their liking in an open theatre kitchen.

Clipper Bar will feature 270 degree views of the river and the area which was once home to the East India trading docks. An Afternoon Tea menu of 34 loose teas will be available alongside a range of wines, draught beers, spirits and cocktails.

With an 80-cover dining room and private dining space for 24-covers, The Peninsula Restaurant will serve a daily fine-dining menu of modern European cuisine inspired by the active spice trade that once passed through East London’s docks.

Carl Chapman, food and beverage director at the InterContinental London – The O2, said: "The lineage of the area is laced into every concept within the hotel and my hope is that guests absorb this through the wonderful choice of fresh ingredients and suppliers we work with.”

The InterContinental London - The O2 has been developed as part of a two-year £121m development of the Greenwich Peninsula.

It is managed and operated by The Arora Group under a franchise agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).
