Located within Granary Wharf and directly under Leeds railway station, the new opening brings Ossett’s investment into the area to over £1m.
Open all day, Archies Bar & Kitchen serves a mix of eat-in and take-out breakfast, weekend brunch and all day dinner options, along with a range of beers, cocktails, spirits, coffees and fresh juices.
Small plates on the menu include Chicken Wings with Honey, Five Spice and Lavender, Salt Beef Croquettes with Spicy Mayonaise, and Lamb Shoulder with Smoked Aubergine. Larger plates include Fish and Chips, Barnsley Chop and Arnold Bennett Omelette.
The design aims to give an “urban vibe” with materials such as reclaimed wood, steel mesh, ceramics and natural stones being used along with vibrant colours, funfair mirrors, a sailing boat, deck chairs and a full-size 1974 VW campervan.
On Friday and Saturday evenings the bar turns into a dance floor from 9pm with music provided by a resident DJ.
Ossett Brewery’s Jamie Lawson said: “Granary Wharf is already such an exciting location and features some of the best hotels, bars and restaurants in Leeds.
“Archie’s Bar & Kitchen is the final piece of the jigsaw within this vibrant area of the city bringing a casual all-day dining experience with a great place to get your ‘disco groove’ on at the weekend.”
