Accor appoints Group Food & Beverage CEO

Hotel group Accor has appointed Amir Nahai CEO Group Food and Beverage (F&B) as it looks to redefine its F&B objectives and roll out new dining concepts.

In his new role Nahai, previously a partner at New York management consultancy Bain and Company, will be responsible for the company's global F&B business and will work closely with regional CEOs and global marketing teams on F&B strategies and new concepts.

Accor chairman and CEO Sébastien Bazin said: “Rethinking in-depth our F&B offer is one of our priorities to ensure the success of AccorHotels’ transformation.

"In his previous roles, Amir actively worked along with us to establish the right diagnosis and I am very glad of his joining us to accelerate the implementation of our new F&B strategy.

"His international experience and his extensive knowledge of the hotel-restaurant field will be great assets to assist our teams in the rolling out of our strategy as well as to position our catering offer as a truly differentiating factor for our guests, partners and employees.”

News of the appointment, which sees Nahai join Accor's executive committee, comes as the UK business plans to launch a new restaurant concept at Novotel Blackfriars.

According to BigHospitality's sister publication M&C Allegra Foodservice, the new format, called Jamboree, will launch before the end of the year.

Jamboree will be a 'fun, irreverent hangout that celebrates food and flavours from around the world' says Accor who may look to roll it out to other Novotels in the UK if successful.
