Located in the City's new Grand Central shopping mall, it will be the fourth all-day Spanish bar and restaurant from the chef - who also operates sites in London's Shoredtich, Westfield and Bluewater Shopping Centre.
Taking inspiration from family recipes and his hometown of Madrid, Allibhoy explained that the new venture was his version of the ‘lively and bustling’ tapas bars in Spain.
“Tapas is more than food, it’s part of everyday culture: food and life are always best shared,” he said.
“Birmingham has a great food scene and is increasingly becoming a destination city – for tourists and for businesses - and it’s gaining a really positive reputation. I wanted to get involved in the buzz happening here and bring a real taste of Spain to the City centre.”
Dishes will include paella and Spanish Burgers, with a tapas menu split between meat, fish and vegetables.
Bocadillos – Spanish sandwiches - and coffees will be available for take away, alongside freshly made churros fried in specialist ‘Churreria’ equipment imported directly from Spain.
Allibhoy said: “I believe our Spanish doughnuts tossed in cinnamon and sugar served with hot thick dipping chocolate will revolutionise the sweet treats scene in Birmingham!”
Tapas Revolution will open Monday – Saturday, 09:00-20:00 and Sunday, 11:00-17:00 at Grand Central, Birmingham in September.
