Fortnum & Mason to open 45 Jermyn St.

Fortnum & Mason is to open a new restaurant on the former site of The Fountain in London’s St James’s district.

45 Jermyn St. will be a 113-cover destination restaurant taking inspiration from ‘a golden age of glamour’.

Chef Lee Streeton, formerly of The Savoy and Brown’s Hotel, will head up the kitchen, serving a menu featuring Baked Eggs in Avocado with Virgin Mary Sauce; and Pan-Fried Sea Bass with Ravioli and Isle of Barra Cockles.

A supper menu targeted at 'night owls, theatre-goers, and art lovers' will include Baked Potato and Caviar; and Scrambling Prawns.

Designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the restaurant will feature both table and counter dining options and a signature marble-fronted dining bar.

Simon Thompson, previously of restaurant group Caprice Holdings, will act as restaurant director.

45 Jermyn St. will open from 7am to midnight every day, from October.
