Pasta Sereni plans London expansion

A new Italian fast-casual concept Pasta Sereni is launching near Piccadilly Circus this September, with plans to open three sites in the next two years.

With prices starting from £5 for handmade pasta, soups, salads and desserts, the restaurant is aiming to offer a healthy and cheap alternative to the sandwich-heavy London lunch market.

Co-founder Fabio Beradi told BigHospitality: “Something every Londoner experiences is only having an hour to eat and having difficulty finding something healthy, quick and with a cheap price.

“What makes us different from similar brands is that we are using entirely Italian producers, it will be 100 per cent authentic Italian food.”

At 300 sq.ft the site will operate as a grab-and-go offering, but Beradi explained that there were plans to open a second larger restaurant with seating at the beginning of next year.

“The concept will always be a takeaway, but I believe we are going to have 10-15 seats inside the next site,” he said.

“We are looking at sites around Liverpool Street and Oxford Circus, but it’s not easy to find the right one.”

In the next 18 to 20 months Pasta Sereni plans to open to open three venues in the capital, though Beradi explained that it was the ‘dream’ to expand further across London.

Pasta Sereni will open at 5 Air Street, London, in early September.
