Conscious Hospitality comes to The Restaurant Show 2015

A new exhibition exploring how hospitality businesses can improve their corporate, social and environmental responsibility (CSER) will run alongside The Restaurant Show at London's Olympia from 5-7 October.

The Conscious Hospitality Show has been created in response to growing customer demand for foodservice businesses to focus on health and nutrition, responsible sourcing and sustainability and ethical business.

Over 50 exhibitors from across the sector will showcase a range of ‘green’ products and services.

A live theatre of restaurateurs and food waste champions will offer sustainable practice insights and examples of eco-friendly initiatives that businesses can use to improve their CSER credentials.

Experts will discuss the true cost of ‘going green’, the business case for moving towards sustainable and ethical practices, and the complexities and contradictions at the heart of the sustainable sourcing debate.

“Market sentiment indicates that many diners are choosing where to eat based on menu provenance, sustainable practices and how the restaurant gives back to the community,” said Elizabeth Duncan, commercial director for Conscious Hospitality Show.

“As consumers make more considered decisions about where they spend their money, outlets are aligning their practices to ensure that their offering is in line with the wants and needs of their target market.

“With such a strong industry focus on sustainability and social responsibility, we have created a dedicated show that will help chefs, caterers and foodservice operators to find out more about the products and services that will allow them to run more sustainably and with CSER credentials that will support their business to grow.”
