Marco Pierre White to open restaurant at Hinckley Island Hotel

World-renowned chef, Marco Pierre White, is set to open a new restaurant at The Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire.

The 180-cover Steakhouse Bar & Grill is expected to open in August. It will serve a variety of contemporary British dishes at the newly refurbished venue. It will be operated under a franchise agreement with Black and White Hospitality (B&WH).

Tony Hill, executive general manager at The Hinckley Island Hotel said:

"Our diners can expect Marco's extremely high standards and exacting attention to detail to be evident in every single dish on the menu and the whole team is looking forward to creating a vibrant, exciting venue that stands alongside the region's best."

The hotel, which is also used for conferences, is situated between Leicester and Coventry with good links to popular local attractions such as the historic Bosworth Battlefield and the National Space Centre.

Hill sees the restaurant as a step in the right direction for the hotel:

“The opening of the MPW Steakhouse Bar & Grill is a clear statement of intent regarding our ambition for The Hinckley Island Hotel to become the leading conference venue in the Midlands”, he said.

Nick Taplin, CEO of B&WH, added:

“The Hinckley Island Hotel is a quality, contemporary hotel and a fantastic location for MPW Steakhouse Bar & Grill. We can't wait to work with the hotel's team to deliver a venue that the local community and guests return to time and again and are looking forward to starting work on site in early July.”
