The 378-room site is the first London hotel to feature its own pier, and runs a cross river shuttle ferry to Canary Wharf.
It brings the brand's portfolio in the capital to eleven, following the opening of DoubleeTree London Islington in August last year.
“With views of the River Thames from the hotel’s restaurant and bar and a majority of guestrooms, the [hotel] offers a sanctuary for both business and leisure guests," commented Howard Lewis, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton London Docklands Riverside.
Dining
Columbia, the hotel's flagship restaurant, will open on 9 July.
The 700 sq.ft space will feature a modern British menu reflecting the site's maritime theme, designed by Hilton Worldwide executive chef Vernon Strachan.
Dishes are set to include Devon Crab on Sourdough; 28-day Dry-aged Rib-eye and Sirloin Steaks; Charcuterie Sharing Planks; a selection of Burgers; and a bar menu of smaller plates.
A second outside kitchen will operate on the Terrace area, serving a dedicated barbecue menu featuring a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian skewers.
Columbia will also cater for river cruises, offering bespoke menus for private boat hire events for between 12 and 48 guests direct from the hotel pier.
DoubleTree by Hilton London Docklands Riverside is located at 265 Rotherhithe Street, London SE16 5HW.
