The luxury hotel has been closed since December 2013 as it has undergone major renovation works with a redesign carried out by interior design studio Alberto Pinto.
The property, which was previously managed by Starwood St Regis, will re-open with 93 rooms and 43 suites, extensive dining options and a spa.
On re-opening The Lanesborough will be managed by the Oetker Collection, the portfolio of ‘masterpiece hotels’ which includes Le Bristol Paris, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the South of France and Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden.
Frank Marrenbach, CEO Oetker Collection, said: “With its strategic location in the heart of London, The Lanesborough, with managing director Geoffrey Gelardi at its helm is a prestigious addition to our portfolio, a major step for our development, and a natural complement to Le Bristol Paris, its sister hotel.”
The hotel will feature The Garden Room restaurant, a cigar lounge; The Library Bar as well as seven private dining rooms. Eric Frechon, Paris’ three Michelin star chef and leading figure at Le Bristol Paris will oversee the operation and brings his protégé Florian Favario as executive chef.
Room rates start from £715 per night and all rooms and suites will be available for booking from 15 July.
