Sat Bains opens new dining concept Nucleus
Chef Sat Bains is today (12 June) opening Nucleus, a ‘restaurant within a restaurant’ at his two-Michelin starred flagship Nottingham venue.

Situated within the existing Restaurant Sat Bains with Rooms, Nucleus is a self-contained six-cover gastonomic experience with its own private entrance separate to the main site.

Guests will have one-on-one access to the kitchens creative team as they cook either a seasonal seven-course lunch or ten-course dinner with highlights from the restaurants main menu.

Commenting on the creation of the new concept, Bains said: “I have always endeavoured to bring a true taste of what it is to eat here in the East Midlands - to give people a sense of place. To this end the restaurant has become like one giant jigsaw puzzle.

"So many pieces make up the bigger picture and with Nucleus, we hope to give our guests another dimension in our journey of Taste, Texture, Temperature.”

Dishes will include Roast monkfish, Sweetcorn relish and Chicken Juices; and Peppered Steak - Aged Beef, Roscoff Onions, Nasturtium and Potato; and an evolution of original Restaurant Sat Bains dishes such as Scallops, Braised Pigs Trotter and Ponzu Jelly.

Optional wines flights can be tailored by the restaurant’s MW head sommelier and chosen at three separate price points ranging from £75.00 to £160.00.

The new concept is the culmination of on-going development at Restaurant Sat Bains with Rooms designed to provide an outlet for the teams creativity and maximise energy efficiency and sustainability on site.

Nucleus will be open daily for lunch and dinner. Menus will be £85.00 for 7 courses at lunch and £125.00 for 10 courses at dinner.
