Situated on Islington’s Upper Street, the new cocktail venue is set to open in late July. It will be the fifth new Dirty Martini in just over a year and a half, and the seventh London site overall.
The 2,800 sq ft site, formerly XOXO, will undergo a £750,000 refurbishment in line with the design of the recently opened Dirty Martini bar in Clapham.
CG said Dirty Martini Clapham, which opened in May, is currently performing 40 per cent ahead of budget.
In addition to a comprehensive list of martinis, cocktails, spirits and Champagnes, the Dirty Martini concept also offers a selection of ‘dirty’ bites, including hot dogs and mini-burgers, plus a number of sharing plates.
Further sites
Scott Matthews, chief executive officer at Dirty Martini, said CG was looking at securing another two central London sites this year, in line with its strategy of opening 15 sites by the end of 2016.
He has previously claimed that the company was looking for units from 1,500 sq ft to 10,000 sq ft in high-football locations in central and greater London, with shell and distressed sites considered.
Matthews said: “Dirty Martini has come a long way since opening our first bar in the heart of the Covent Garden Piazza.
“The new Islington site is a natural progression and means we are now present in many of London’s most active leisure destinations”
In addition to Dirty Martini, CG Restaurants & Bars operates Fire & Stone in Maiden Lane and Westfield, Tuttons in Covent Garden and Bitter Sweet cocktail bar in Soho.
