Gordon Ramsay Group to open Bordeaux restaurant

The Gordon Ramsay Group is opening a restaurant in Bordeaux through its partnership with the Financière Immobilière Bordelaise (FIB) Group. 

The restaurant at the Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux & Spa will be Ramsay's second in France. For the past seven years his company has operated two Michelin-starred restaurant Gordon Ramsay au Trianon at the FIB Group's The Waldorf Astoria Trianon Palace in Versailles. 

Through the partnership The Gordon Ramsay Group will take over the running of Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux & Spa's Le Pressoir d'Argent restaurant which will serve dishes created from seasonal ingredients from the region alongside its famous wines. 

Ramsay said: "To open a restaurant in the wine capital of France with its world-class vineyards and glorious regional produce is extremely exciting. The Grand Hôtel De Bordeaux and Spa has an incredible history dating back to 18th century and we are really looking forward to working with the hotel team at this incredible listed property in the heart of the City’s golden triangle."

The Gordon Ramsay Group operates 25 restaurants across the world, nine of which are outside the UK, including Gordon Ramsay Steak in Las Vegas and Gordon Ramsay at Forte Village, Sardinia.
