The 17 bedroom hotel will re-open as a restaurant with rooms following a complete refurbishment shortly before Christmas.
“We see [the development] embodying the hotels current arty-ness while tapping in further to the artisan flavour for which Painswick and the surrounding area of Stroud is becoming increasingly known. Think Covent Garden shaking hands with the Cotswolds!", said Calcot Hotels executive chairman Richard Ball.
The site currently features a 34 seater restaurant, separate private dining and a beauty treatment room, and can accommodate up to 60 guests for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
Cotswolds88 is the latest acquisition from the company which operates Calcot Manor and Barnsley House in the Cotswolds and Northumberland’s The Lord Crewe Arms at Blanchland, which re-launched last April.
