Beany Green opening flagship site in The City
The 30-cover café will be a health conscious all day food offering, featuring a ‘kitchen table’ style lunch counter.
With dishes ranging from a Banana Bread Sandwich to the Full Bondi (a full English breakfast with avocado & lemon), Beany Green says it will ‘show The City how to brunch, Melbourne style’.
A huge abstract Vegemite jar will celebrate the brand's Australian heritage, taking pride of place in the cafe alongside pop art pieces by street artist Shuby.
Diners will be able to enjoy the signature house blend of Australian coffee, alongside new weekly guest roasts.
The brainchild of Australian born former Investment Banker Prue Freeman and her English partner, Tom Onions, Beany Green was born in 2012 after the pair ‘endured endless cups of charred, over-roasted coffee and dull packaged lunches’ while working at UBS in the Broadgate Circle.
The business now serves coffee across London from a mixture of quirky trikes, ‘hole in the wall’ sites and a shipping container on the Southbank.
A popup coffee outlet will open at Euston Station in May, alongside fellow street food traders Big Apple and The Ribman.
Beany Green’s new cafe in the Broadgate Circle will open officially on Thursday 16th April 2015.
