Hungry Donkey will seat 42 covers and serve a range of classic Greek dishes from breakfast to dinner.
Owner and native Greek Markos Tsimikalis said: “The menu has been designed so that we can cater to the city worker who wants a quick and delicious lunch, someone popping in for a coffee, or guests who want a relaxed supper.
"I really wanted to create somewhere that is modern and cool without losing the simplicity of classic Greek dishes.”
The Breakfast menu includes traditional Greek yogurt pots with honey, walnuts and seasonal fruits, and filled pastry pies including Bougatsa, with semolina custard crème, cinnamon and icing sugar, and Tyropita, with feta and cottage cheese.
The lunch and dinner menu will include pita wraps and slow grilled pork, chicken, or lamb souvlaki skewers from the Robata grill, served with lemon, wild oregano and salt.
Specials will change daily and yeast intolerant, lactose sensitive, vegan and vegetarians will all be catered for. All food will be available to take out.
The drinks list features Greek wines and beers from locations including Santorini and Crete, and includes Volkan and Septem.
Spirits including Metaxa, a renowned Greek brandy, and the classic Greek tipple Ouzo will all be available.
Hungry Donkey will open in April at 56 Wentworth Street, London, between 8am-10pm Monday to Saturday.
