The winning properties were selected from 31,000 UK hotels featured on HotelsCombined, which aggregates over 38 million reviews from multiple travel and review sites.
London once again dominated the list, with The Langham, The Savoy, St. Ermin’s Hotel and the Sofitel St. James all making an appearance for the second consecutive year.
In order to qualify for the ‘Stellar Stays’ list, hotels must have a minimum rating of 9 out of 10 with at least 250 customer reviews on the HotelsCombined site, have a significant community or environmental programme in place, and have received at least three major industry awards throughout the year.
“From more than 31,000 UK hotels listed on our site, the Stellar Stays list for 2014/2015 has yielded an extraordinary group of UK properties. These hotels not only boast a high satisfaction rating amongst guests and travel industry experts, but also strive to make a positive difference with dedicated environmental and community initiatives,” said Alycia Simons, Global PR and Content Manager at HotelsCombined.
“The Stellar Stay awards are designed to zero in on true-value accommodation experiences, regardless of star rating, property type or price point. From major international hotel brands to cosy B&Bs, the winners this year all have one very important thing in common – an all-encompassing commitment to excellence.”
