The company, founded by husband-and-wife team Lawrence and Katie Kenwright in 2008, said it had experienced a 'New Year bookings bonanza' across its 30 St James Street hotel and Stanley Street, Bold Street and Matthew Street serviced apartments with all rooms booked to capacity every weekend until July.
Lawrence said interest in its Titanic-themed 30 James Street hotel, which opened on the site of the former White Star Line headquarters last year, had 'exceeded expectations' with overseas visitors making up a third of all bookings.
"We’ve had an amazing start to 2015 with people from all over the world booking stays. 30 James Street has exceeded our early expectations. There has been huge international interest in the hotel," he said.
“We are also particularly pleased with the bookings at Signature Living’s luxury serviced-apartments, which are up significantly compared to this period in 2014. Even though Liverpool has increased its hotel offer by increasing its beds from 2500 beds to 7000 in the last four years this demonstrates just how prominent Liverpool has become as a weekend destination, it is firmly placed as one of the UK's top city destinations."
Expansion
Signature Living, which currently operates 650 rooms across its business, said it will now focus on the further expansion of its brand in Liverpool.
The company will open the Shankly Hotel and Museum, a 250-bedroom hotel dedicated to former Liverpool FC manager Bill Shankly in Millennium House, Victoria Street, in the autumn.
Liverpool City Council will hand over the building to Signature Living and the Shankly family on 1 February when work will start to turn it into a hotel and museum.
