The property in the Great West Quarter development in west London aims 'to combine the cultural experiences of boutique hospitality with the unrivalled convenience, comfort and discretion of luxurious residential living.'
Situated in a 25-storey tower block, the hotel will offer rooms with panoramic views, winter gardens and kitchens. New York architects Gryzwinski & Pons, who worked on Manhattan's Nolitan and The Hotel on Rivington, have been responsible for designing the interiors.
Rooms will also feature Nespresso machines, 50" Samsung Smart TVs, Malin & Goetz toiletries and the choice of firm or soft mattresses.
Although rooms will be treated like apartments, Urban Villa will offer services seen in many full-service hotels, such as same-day laundry and access to public areas which include a lobby bar called Sour Diesel, a coffee shop called BOKI Coffee Co and a private gym. Spa treatments and personal training sessions can also be ordered to the suites.
Urban Villa London, which opens for business on Friday 23 January is the first under the brand to open in the UK. Development firm Union Hanover has already submitted plans for a second Urban Villa in Edinburgh.
The 180-room hotel will be situated on the Union Canal Basin on Freer Street if approved and will be one of five planned to open under the Urban Villa name. Sites in Eastgate and Stratford in London, Portsmouth and Aberdeen have also been earmarked for development.
