Manchester-based creative studio NoChintz will launch a new coffee concept in the Grade II listed Sevendale House next March.

The 130-cover Foundation Coffee House will open in a 330m2 unit on the ground floor of Sevendale House, which is located in the city’s Northern Quarter and is currently undergoing a £6m re-development.

If successful, the Foundation Coffee House brand will be rolled out to further locations across Greater Manchester and the North West.

Inspired by coffee houses in New York, Copenhagen, Berlin, Amsterdam and London, Foundation Coffee House will serve a menu of locally sourced, healthy food, alongside premium coffees.

NoChintz has received planning permission for the site and will commence the fit out with the aim of launching in March 2015 – to coincide with the official launch of Sevendale House.

The interior will reflect Manchester’s industrial Victorian heritage – with feature tiles, wood and leather, industrial lighting and ceiling installations.

Foundation Coffee House will double as a meeting and events space, so local businesses and hot-deskers will be encouraged to use the facilities for work

"As creatives, design plays an integral part of everything we do," said NoChintz and Foundation Coffee House co-founder, Dominic Beardwell.

“Our vision is to pioneer a new coffee house concept, which has cutting edge design at its core in terms of product, service design and aesthetic.

“With this in mind, we felt that Sevendale House, with its architecturally stunning features, married well with our own ethos making it a fitting backdrop for our first ‘House’.”
