Zinnia to open on Fulham Road this week

Elysium Group has released further details for its first London venue Zinnia, which will open in Chelsea on Thursday.

Located at 48 Fulham Road, Zinnia will be a 'modern Japanese Fusion restaurant and lounge' spread over three floors.

On the ground floor, the main bar area will feature reclaimed timber-topped tables and leather banquette seating for relaxed drinking and dining, as well as a long bar with a stone counter and oak legs.

The more formal restaurant area will be spread over the ground floor and mezzanine level - with a black and gold décor, large feature fireplace, suede banquettes and a large sharing table.

Available for private hire, the Zinnia lounge will be located in the basement, with a bar area, a DJ booth and suede banquette seating.

Food & drink

Zinnia will open daily from midday, serving a lunch menu of bento boxes and sharing plates, as well as an Asian afternoon tea of freshly-baked pastries, cakes and tarts and flora tea.

The evening a la carte menu will include dishes such as sushi with Ahi tuna and and hamachi, Dorset crab, aged sirloin tataki, miso black cod and szechuan glazed pork belly with lotus root, petit pear and ginger. 

There will also be a range of dishes from the Robata grill including skewers of yakitori chicken, teriyaki beef and spiced quail or pork fillet with kohlrabi, shishito and papaya curry.

Asian-inspired deserts will include coconut & mango sphere with mango sorbet and almonds or Jasmine and a green tea mousse with white chocolate and yuzu curd. There will also be a cheese board and Western desserts including chocolate tart with milk chocolate & bailey’s mousse and hazelnuts.  

The drinks offering will include Japanese whisky and sake cocktails, as well as all the classics.
