The menu
Bocconcino Pizzeria has a focus on pizzas cooked in its wood-fired oven, but serves a range of Italian dishes.
Starters on the menu include salmon tartare with anchovies, capers and quail egg, and Tuscany-style fish stew. Mains on the menu include dishes such as wild boar ragu tagliatelle, black ink spaghetti with calamari and bottarga, and salt-baked sea bream with new potatoes.
Its pizza menu includes the signature pizza Bocconcino, topped with stracchino, mozzarella, fresh tomatoes and Parma ham, the pizza gorgonzola e pere, topped with pear and gorgonzola, and the calzone quattro formaggi e prosciutto, which contains tomato sauce, mozzarella, stracchino, pecorino, scamorza, and ham.
Bocconcino Pizzeria also serves a dessert pizza and classic Italian sweets such as panna cotta and tiramisu.
The restaurant’s wine list concentrates on Italian wines, serving a mixture of well-known brands and bottles from ‘small, artisan’ producers. It also has a cocktail list which ‘celebrates Italian classics’ such as the Bellini, the Negroni and the Aperol Spritz.
