Restaurant Nathan Outlaw to move to Port Isaac
The relocated restaurant will open in the building that is currently known as The Edge, which will undergo refurbishment work over the winter. It is a larger venue than the current site in Rock, and offers panoramic views over the bay.
The new restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner on specific days of the week, and guests will be able to make a private booking at the ‘chef’s table’, where master classes will also be held.
Restaurant Nathan Outlaw’s current head chef Chris Simpson will remain in charge of the kitchen at the new location. Anna Davey from Outlaw’s in Rock will take up the post of restaurant manager, while Stephi Little will host front-of house. Her husband Damon Little will remain in the role of beverage manager.
Outlaw already has one restaurant in Port Isaac, Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen, which was recently awarded a Michelin star. The chef’s other restaurant in Rock, Outlaw’s at St Endoc Hotel, will remain open.
“We have had a fantastic five-season run at St Endoc Hotel, and I’m sure Outlaw’s will continue to flourish in Rock,” said Outlaw.
“But for our two Michelin-starred Restaurant Nathan Outlaw it felt right to look for larger premises to grow the business. The Edge building became available at just the right time so we snapped it up. With its spacious, modern interior and enviable position at the top of the village, it’s the perfect place.”
Fishing heritage
In its new location, Restaurant Nathan Outlaw will continue to offer a fine-dining menu of fish and seafood caught in the waters around Cornwall. It will also source other ingredients from quality local producers.
“Port Isaac, with its rich fishing heritage, is the ideal location for us to open a restaurant specialising in fish and seafood,” added Outlaw.
“Our guests will be able to see the fishermen working and then come and dine on their catch. I hope too that the local community will view our new restaurant as an asset to the village and support us as they have with Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen.”
