Located next to Brixton market, the new site will open on Tuesday to Sunday from noon until 11pm, offering both dine-in and take-away service.
The ground floor will feature a dining area for 30-covers and there will be further seating on a large outdoor terrace. The kitchen will be located in the basement.
The menu will feature Brixton exclusives and specials alongside favourites from the original Notting Hill Boom Burger, such as plantain fries, the Jerk (chicken) Burger, the Pork Boom and the classic Boom Burger with bacon jam.
Sides such as Jerk Wings and Stamp & Go salt fish fritters will also be on offer, as well as chilli-infused house mayonnaise and extra hot sauces. Drinks will include rum cocktails and other Jamaican drinks.
Open on Tuesday to Sunday from noon until 11pm, the restaurant will have a Caribbean-inspired interior, with LP-lined walls and a Jamaican soundtrack played throughout.
Boom Burger
Jamaican-born chef Josh de Lisser opened the first Boom Burger on Portobello Road last year, after running a successful pop-up at The Earl of Portobello for eight months.
The chef said his concept was inspired by the ‘loud flavours’ found in traditional Caribbean cooking and his childhood frustration trying to find a decent burger in Jamaica.
“There was nowhere to get a good burger in Montego Bay, so I started experimenting with all the unique and fantastic flavours on my doorstep,” he said.

Seating approximately 30 diners on the ground floor and an additional number outside. The kitchen will be housed in the basement and the restaurant will be open six days a week, Tuesday to Sunday, 12 noon to 11pm.
