The two new additions will take the group’s total sites to eight. The Liverpool Street Station site will open in January 2015 and will take the form of a street food kiosk, while the Bromley site will be a high street restaurant that will open in February 2015.
Managing director of Benito’s Hat Ben Fordham said: “We’re so pleased to be launching these two new and exciting sites.
“We’re looking forward to getting back to our street food roots and feeding commuters at Liverpool Street Station by offering a fun and accessible all-day menu. It allows us to simplify things but also gives us the freedom to experiment with some new ideas as well.
“We’re also delighted to launch our first venture south of the river; it’s an area we’ve wanted to explore for a long time and we are thrilled to be bringing our brand to a whole new audience.”
Benito’s Hat first opened in 2008 on Goodge Street, and since then has opened in New Row, Great Castle Street, Leadenhall Market, Covent Garden and King’s Cross.
Liverpool Street Station
The Benito’s Hat in Liverpool Street Station will be the brand’s first street food ‘pod’. It will be located outside the Broadgate entrance to the station and will be open seven days a week from 7am until midnight.
The pod will serve breakfast, lunch and late night dishes. Its menu will include all-day tacos and burritos and a brand new type of torta.
There will be a seating area for 15 to 20 people outside the pod.
Bromley
The Bromley site will be a 2000sq.ft restaurant located on Market Square in the North Village area. It will have 60 covers inside and space for 24 more outside. It will serve a full Benito’s menu of burritos, tacos and salads alongside cocktails, beer and wine.
The restaurant will be designed by Cantor Masters. The interior will feature exposed brick walls, enamel furniture, neon colours and a large communal copper table that is used as a bar in the evenings.
