The two-storey bar is located at 28 Maple Street and has the capacity for 100 people. It will be open seven days a week from 1pm to 1am.
Like its predecessors, Simmons Kings Cross and Simmons Camden, the new Simmons Fitzrovia will focus on serving a variety of cocktails and craft beers, as well as offering an ‘eclectic programme of entertainment’.
Eccentric vibe
The new Simmons bar has been decorated in a manner that reflects the group’s branding, with the classic Simmons sign above the door and the signature mismatched vintage lamps inside.
Simmons Fitzrovia has an ‘airy and bright’ atmosphere with a ‘quirky’ vibe and features wooden floors, vintage seating, ‘funky’ wallpaper, different-shaped clocks and frames on the walls and a large mirrored skull disco ball hanging from the ceiling.
As well as a ‘basement drinking den’, Simmons Fitzrovia will also offer an outdoor seating equipped with heaters and canopies to allow drinkers outside in all weathers.
Drinks and entertainment
Simmons will serve an extensive drinking menu of craft beers, cocktails and wine. It will also have a variety of craft and mainstream ales and ciders and its cocktails will be served in teacups and teapots. A variety of bar snacks will also be available.
The bar will host its ‘marathon happy hour’ from 4pm to 9pm Sunday to Friday, where bottled beer, spirit and mixers or glasses of wine are available for £2.50 a time. Cocktails will be two for £10.
Simmons Fitzrovia will also offer night time entertainment and will host local DJs playing ‘old school’ tunes for dancing. The basement area in the club will also be available for private hire for parties and events.
