The cowboy-themed bar and dance saloon will have a capacity of 180 people and will preview in December, before opening in the new year.
Beaver Lodge will offer evening entertainment such as classic Americana and rock ‘n’ roll music, and top DJs later in the night.
Co-founders of the Inception Group Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling took their inspiration for the design of Beaver Lodge from log cabins found in the mountains of Wyoming in the USA.
Gilkes said: “Beaver Lodge is an original tongue-in-cheek concept Duncan and I are bringing to London, inspired in particular by Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
“We're offering a cowboy saloon and mountainside cabin rolled into one, with, as ever, an emphasis on fun.”
Cowboy theme
Beaver Lodge will feature a large wood-burning stove and cowhide and furs will be present throughout. Cowboy memorabilia such as old wagon wheels and antler-horned hanging lamps will also decorate the space.
The bar will serve drinks that continue the cowboy theme, concentrating on old American liquors including boilermakers, hardshakes and single serves. It will also serve Samuel Adams Beer, the ‘lumberjack choice’, and a Grinning Beaver cocktail in a beaver-shaped vessel.
The staff will also maintain the saloon-feel, dressed as ‘Daisy Dukes and Huckleberrys’ in denim and lumberjack shirts, as well as cowboy hats and boots. They will also regularly break into choreographed line dancing routines.
The Inception Group
Beaver Lodge will be the Inception Group’s seventh venture in London, where it owns and operates five bars and clubs, including Disco and Brazilian-themed Cocobananas. It also operates one restaurant, Bunga Bunga in Battersea.
Earlier this year Gilkes told BigHospitality the group’s ‘interim ambition’ was to become a 10-strong operator, before expanding overseas.
