Brew to open fourth London site

All-day dining concept Brew will open its fourth London site in Putney on 10 November.

The restaurant will be located in a 3000sq.ft site on Lower Richmond Road, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

It will have a large, covered terrace area with beds and deckchairs for customers, as well as the indoor restaurant.

Founder of the concept Jason Wells has put together Brew’s menu, which was influenced by his travel and has an Antipodean theme with barbecue focus as well as a section for pizzas done in the restaurant’s wood-fired oven.

The restaurant will also house an indoor cocktail bar for ‘innovative’ cocktails by its mixologist team, and do its own roasted coffee.

This will be the fourth Brew site situated in south London, with the previous three Brew sites located in Wandsworth, Battersea and Wimbledon.

The menu

The kitchen at Brew will be run by head chef Farkhod Najtmetdinov, who previously worked at Brew in Wimbledon.

Brew Putney will serve wood-fired pizzas from its clay oven as well as freshly baked artisanal bread. It will also serve a range of breakfast and dessert pizzas.

The site will house a ‘butcher’s shop’ with a dry-aging fridge which will offer guests a ‘cut-to-size and cook-to-order’ steak option. On Friday, Saturday and Sundays evenings a barbecue will take place on the restaurant’s terrace.

Brew will also serve a ‘breakfast in bed’ menu with dishes such as poached Turkish Eggs, with hung yoghurt and hot chilli butte, and Brindisa chorizo scrambled eggs on Brew’s sourdough toast.

Indoors and out

The outdoor terrace area is made from reclaimed timber decking and includes a fresh herb garden where the Brew team will grow its own herbs. Customers will be able to book beds on the terrace instead of more typical tables.

Live music acts will perform in the terrace area, and on Wednesdays the venue will host ‘La Luna’ film nights where it will play cult classic movies and serve wood-fire pizza.

The inside of the restaurant will be open-plan and ‘airy’ with banquette seating. It will also feature book shelves full of cookbooks that customers will be invited to browse through.
