Hotel Football will bring up to 200 jobs to Trafford when Neville and his former teammates Ryan Giggs, Phil Neville, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt open it on 8 December.
Neville will sign the Trafford Pledge on behalf of the whole Hotel Football team on 24 October. The hotel will commit to give work experience placements, apprenticeships and full-time jobs to young people from Trafford and the surrounding areas.
In addition, Hotel Football has promised to recruit three student apprentices from the nearby Trafford College. The hotel team also has close ties with the Springboard charity which supports young people in hospitality.
General manager at Hotel Football Stewart Davies said: “The team behind Hotel Football is extremely proud to be investing in the local area.
“We already have an extremely talented senior management team in place and are currently in the process of building our skilled team, who will help make a visit to the hotel an unforgettable experience.”
Something for everyone
The 133-bedroom four-star hotel and conference facility will offer a large range of jobs for local applicants. These will include front of house roles, housekeeping staff, conference and event staff, bar tenders, and a number of serving and kitchen staff.
Hotel Football will also have a range of ‘unique’ features and events spaces to be attended to, including a five-a-side rooftop football pitch and bespoke hospitality packages. It will also be home to The Old Trafford Supporters Club.
“Gary and I have spent so much of our lives playing at Old Trafford and appreciate everyone who supported us there over the years,” said Giggs.
“To make sure the hotel appeals to everyone, not just football fans, we are working with some of the most talented people in the industry to create something unique and inviting with a focus on excellent customer service and nurturing young talent.”
