Tom Kerridge's latest TV show hits screens next month
BBC Two has released further details of Tom Kerridge’s latest TV series, which will see him travel around the UK to cook up innovative versions of some of Britain’s favourite meals.

Tom Kerridge’s Best Ever Dishes – the second series that the chef has filmed for the channel - will hit screens first week of October.

Over the course of six episodes, Kerridge will offer tips on how to transform ordinary British classics – such as hamburgers, lasagne, kebabs and rice pudding - into something extraordinary.

Each episode will have a different focus, covering everything from cooking for a crowd to re-creating takeaways, weekend feats, fuss free dinners, childhood classics and tasty lunches.

During the series, the chef will take a trip to Brixton market to discover the best in slow cooked BBQ food, go mackerel fishing off the Cornish coast, visit a Malaysian supper club, cook brunch for a group of fire fighters, re-visit his old school, take a trip to a Gloucester old spot farm and cook up the ultimate steak sandwiches at a steelworks in York.

BBC Two production

Tom Keridge’s Best Ever Dishes was created by the producers of Tom Kerridge’s Proper Pub Food, Outline Productions.

"I'm massively pleased and privileged to be asked by the BBC to do a second series, this time entitled Tom Kerridge’s Best Ever Dishes,” said Kerridge.

“I’ll be cooking some of the nation’s favourite foods but putting my twist on them and visiting some interesting and passionate people comparing their version of a great dish to mine. Can’t wait!”

Alison Kirkham, who commissioned the series on behalf of BBC Two, said: "Tom Kerridge stands out as one of the most successful new talent launches of the year. The audience immediately loved him and his unpretentious approach to cooking and eating.

“I’m thrilled that we’re able to bring him back on air so soon and hope this is just the beginning of a long and varied career for Tom on the channel.”
