The Town House hotel opens in Ludlow
The Town House Hotel will open to its first guests on 12 September. The building was operating as a hotel before the brothers acquired it, but it closed in January and had been out of operation for most of the year before it was purchased.
The guest house is in a grade II listed building and has nine en-suite rooms. It is situated only two minutes away from The Charlton Arms, and guests will be encouraged to use the dining facilities there.
Cedric Bosi said: “Where we are in Ludlow there’s quite a shortage of accommodation and yet it’s quite a touristy area. At The Charlton Arms we’ve got nine bedrooms guests can stay it, but I found I was having to turn lots of people away because we were full. So when this came up I thought it’d be a good idea as an addition to the business.
“The Charlton Arms is only two minutes down the road so guests at the Town House will be able to go there for dinner.”
Period décor
The hotel has a selection of double and twin rooms, superior rooms and suites which are complete with period-style furniture, Egyptian cotton sheets and goose-down duvets. Each of the rooms have bathrooms with walk-in showers, and many with roll-top baths.
Cedric Bosi said: “It’s very English traditional décor, lots of flowers, lots of wood, very old English.”
The brothers intend to encourage the guests to visit The Charlton Arms by giving them information about the restaurant in their room, as well as a card at check in with information on any discounts that are on offer to them. The location of the hotel in close proximity to Claude Bosi’s pub will make it convenient to him, while Cedric Bosi visits the village often to see his family.
“We love working together and we’re both business driven,” explained Claude Bosi. “When we work together we make sure everyone is working at the maximum to make the business a success, and it’s nice to keep it in the family.”
